Quick question about some Fender Japan tuners.

I acquired these many moons ago from a forum bro. They've just been sitting in a box. I'm upgrading a cheap Peavey Rockmaster guitar, and these are a perfect fit. Can anyone tell me anything about these? Manufacturer? Would they be a noticeable improvement over the cheap Chinese tuners that are on there now? Thanks.
