To say the least, it's awesome...I really like this box...I will admit, this is technically a honeymoon review since I've had it for only a few minutes, but my initial impressions are superb...It sounds KINDA like a Tubescreamer, except FULLER, more lows, less midhump, and an overall different and better EQ.
I also have the Spina DS-1, and in comparison, I like my SD-1 much more and it suits me much better. The DS-1 has WAYYYY more gain. Both are great, but they are very different. I recommend ( :duh: ) the DS-1 for higher gain, even metal, but for more balanced, delicious, lovely, smoother gain, I would go for the SD-1...Plus it has a pimp yellow box!

The SD-1 is VERY full, without being too thick or too chunky. It works well with both singles and hums, but so far I am having the most fun with my Little 59 in the bridge of my Strat. I give this pedal two thumbs up and my recommendation.
