Radial Tonebone Classic

Does anyone here have any experience with the Radial Tonebone.

I hear it is one of the better distortion pedals in the market.

I have found that my Boss Blues Driver and the Boss SD-1 Overdrive pedal do not sound that great with my new Twin Reverb. I'm still experimenting with the controls on the amp to improve the sound, at rehearsal yesterday my sound my mushy and sterile and could not cut through without really cranking it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry, no experience.
Radial makes nice products, tho.
I have their Headbone VT, tube head switcher, and it's great! :D

Re: Radial Tonebone Classic

I was very disappointed, especially considering the hype and all the high profile endorsers. It seemed quite versatile, but I found all but the lowest gain settings to be harsh and unmusical. I've heard their hot british pedal is a bit better, though.

If you're spending decent money on an overdrive, I'd suggest a G2D cream-tone, classic, or custom, depending on your style. They all sound great, and are tested with blackface fender amps like the twin. Go for the custom if you need versatility. I own a classic, and I consider it to be significantly better than the tonebone classic.

I also hear that G2d are making a lower priced single function pedal that is a cross between the cream-tone and custom soon.

Thanks..

Any setting recommendations for theTwin Reverb Reissue for classic rock and blues. Also what recommended settings when using a distortion pedal like the Blues Driver?
