I've been getting into Randall amps lately, matter o fact I just picked up another Randall RH150 G3 from a pawnshop for $100 bucks. A little bit ago I was surfing youtube and I came across a video on a Randall RG100 ES head it looks similar to a Marshall JMP head and sounds straight up metal all the way. Does anyone out there know enough about these RG100 ES's to gimme some info on them.

Re: Randall RG100 ES???

The RG100ES is supposed to be like a solid state JCM800.

Dokken's "Tooth and Nail" was recorded using the RG80ES or 100ES

DimeBag Darrell's favorite amp was an RG100ES.

Try to get one WITH the footswitch if you get one as they use an odd connector I had never seen before.

Re: Randall RG100 ES???

I owned one for awhile a few years back...I found the dirt sounds to be horrible, ratty and un-useable (i.e. Dimebag style tone)...and the clean channel was terrible, and really wasn't even "clean", always kinda had a little dirt to it......I traded it and the 412 cab for a Crate VC-5212.
