Not even sure why I'm posting this. I sorta feel like NGD warrants it, so here goes.
Walked into a store yesterday, with an old flute I had been playing in highschool, that I found in my closet. Decided to take it to the store, and see if I could trade it in, because I didn't want to do the craigslist thing, I have no patience for that as of late.
Anyways, on trade in, I walked out with :
- 2 x Shure SM57
- 1 Stand up boom stand for said mic
- 1 Mic stand for guitar cab
- 1 Simon & Patrick parlor sized guitar.
I had been eyeballing one for a while. Went acoustic guitar shopping with my friend on friday, and picked this one up just for fun. It was kinda the reason I decided to bring the flute in. This would be the one :

Solid spruce top, red wild cherry back and sides, and I think the neck might be maple, but I'm not sure. Made by Godin for those of you who would be wondering. Very bright, articulate guitar. For an idea of what it sounds like, please see Ian Anderson's playing on the first part of ''Thick as a Brick''. The bass response is surprising though. I am happy with it, since 95% of my acoustic playing is folk or celtic stuff.
Just wanted to say. I'm pretty happy, gonna try it out at rehearsal in about an hour.
