here is something i came up with recently.. sorta hesitant about posting as some of ya are pretty outstanding players.. occasionally I do come up with some kool stuff though..

im not that good but not that bad either....story of my life LOL..

I believe I described it to some one, as the equivalent to talking BS on guitar..

playing my "ultra" squire through my PC/ Guitar Rig 4.. The patch is a tweaked version of the stock 80's solo patch.. which is my goto patch for most things.. the ****ing delay is intoxicating to me

Re: random shred

Hehe, the description of your playing had me laughing. :) Some cool lick ideas in there, actually, but of course without any context, they just kinda float out there and then die a lonely death.

Love the Grado headphones.

lol i know it had no context.. I just picked as spot on the neck and started playing.. no idea on what scale/key i was in until i relistened to it.. just noodlin

perhaps this has more context.. i call it funk in Cm..all improvised over a backing track i downloaded ages ago and was pretty baked playing this... reason part of the solo ~(1.50-2.08) had a "WTF brain.. where are you taking me..moment brain said.. "quiet dude.. enjoy the ride" ... thats the feeling this part had to me.. just along for the ride but i found my way back.. just took abit

in reality this more of a funk metal blues in Cm.. "go home music categories.. you're drunk" lol

thx for the comment on the grado's ..was a gift from an audiophile chick from another forum i visit.. The work great but I think they sound more open than sealed headphones.. Definitely not a good choice if you dont want others to hear what your listening to though but they do sound good.. excellent bass response with them

Re: random shred

I really like that squier

thx.. i do too.. the project came out real good.. never really finished it though.. needs a new nut and the frets need to be leveled around the 15th fret.. A few other minor things I would of done a tad different too but considering the results overall.. was definitely an improvement
