Randy Rhoads pickups.

This has been bugging me for a while now.

and no, I'm not talking about the Polkadot that were all Dimarzio
or the Jacksons that were all Duncan ;)

I'm curious about his White/Creme Gibson LesPaul Custom.

From whatever information I've gathered, it's a 1972 model
and Gibson, during that timeframe, was owned by a company
called The Selmer Company or Norlin Music !

The only thing I know is that it was some kinda' hotter
PAF humbucker, but I'd like to get some more information.
I've tried the Gibson Custom forum but to no avail, so
I'm asking you Duncans ;)

Does anyone of you own a LPC from this time-era ?

I'd like to know, resistance, output, magnets ... everything :D

Thanks.

Re: Randy Rhoads pickups.

If I remember correctly after the mid sixties all buckers came with A5 mags.

The T-tops came later...I'm not too sure about those buckers honestly.

57 plus in the bridge and a 57 classic in the neck with 300K pots in a LP will nail this tone!

My buddy had the same set in his studio and it nailed the Crazy Train tone which Randy play the LP on.
