Rare boss pedals...

Re: Rare boss pedals...

I have a DC-2 that I scored on Ebay for £25 and its awesome. Made my Boss CE-3 redundant.

Re: Rare boss pedals...

The Boss VF-1 has a very good emulation of this design. You can control spread and azimuth, as well as the usual chorus functions.

Re: Rare boss pedals...

snared a BF-2 off ebay, fairly indifferent towards it though... was looking for landing spaceships or something :laugh2:

Re: Rare boss pedals...

The DC-2 is killer. My buddy has one

Re: Rare boss pedals...

I've got a Boss VB-2, I bought it from my local guitar shop when I was about 13, never use it though...

Re: Rare boss pedals...

I love effects, and love mixing and matching pedals. Right now I'm in a "guitar--->amp" phase. But I still love weird effects.

It'd be cool if anyone could post clips of these weird Boss Dimension effects

Re: Rare boss pedals...

yea man, definitely - they're some sort of analogue chorus/flange hybrid sound from what i've read...

man, i want one :laugh2:

I imagine they'd be useful for the old school Incubus-style "atmosphere" tone as I call it. The swirling, reverberated/delayed guitar that sounds like moving clouds. damnit, Imp! you've given me GAS! :laugh2:

I have a Dimension C. It's a good sounding chorus.
Was that the lavender one with the 4 silver buttons? I've tried those and i like 'em a lot... Jeff Beck does too. ;) :D

Personally, for my "rare" Boss; I have an EH-2 Enhancer pedal... it's pretty much a BBE Sonic Maximizer in Boss pedal form. I've only seen three of them in person (although you can find them easuly on ebay) and I got mine for $35. Here it is! http://www.bossarea.com/loadpage.asp?file=boxes/eh2.xml

Would you recommend that over a BBE?

Re: Rare boss pedals...

I have a CE2. I have had it a very long time. I bought it new. I have never really seen any need to look for another. When I need chorus it works well all the time

Actually... no :laugh2: I don't get the hype about it. Maybe it's like a Mesa and how I felt before I tried a Mark IV this weekend. But I can;t seem to get a decent setting/sound out of it. It sounds too digital for my tastes. Maybe it's just me and my settings?
