If I'm adding a treble bleed from middle lug of vol pot (to be able to use push/pull tone pot as switch) to tone pot (middle lug) is that going to work? Also, does the gray output jack cable get soldered onto a volume pot, along with the black cable in the middle of the pic (assuming it's grounding)?

I'm using https://www.seymourduncan.com/images/wiring-diagrams/2H_2TS_3G_2V_1T.jpg as wiring diagram for this and installing triple shots by the way.

the black and bare wire get grounded in that diagram. for a treble bleed, you want it across the two hot lugs so not sure what you are asking. you want to use a push/pull to turn the treble bleed on and off?
