Recodring a Tele... I need some advice

I normally use string gauge .10~.52 but have heard that recording a tele with .11~.52 will give more "beef" to the sound of my tele in a recording...

Any players out there with some experience with this?

Well. In general, heavier strings give more beef. My 9-46's hurt my ear, so I bumped them up 11-52 (which.. hurt my fingers at first) but was well worth its weight in beef.

thanks. Picked up .11's and they feel great.

Time to start recording.
