I break a string every tenth time i strap this thing on....

Anyone have great luck with a simple straight replacement bridge?

Faber bridge or sanding the saddles with a fine sand paper

I didn't even think about sanding them... doh

I guess I'll give that a shot before dropping a hundo on a new one.

Graph Tech also makes replacement saddles for Gibson tuneomatics. My Guitar Center has them on clearance for like $14. Just make sure you look up what part number depending on what year that Gibson is. I think they have different saddles for pre-2000 and post-2000. Those are the original GTs though, so they might change the tone a bit and lose some bite. The NVS saddles retain that bite.
