The Digitech DigiDelay. I know you said you didnt want digital, but this pedal is awesome, I think it is much better than the DD3. It even has a delay that adds a little chorus to it, and it also has a 4 second sampler. For only 100 bucks, it is a delay steal. You just have to use it in a loop on with a clean amp and distortion box, but you probably know that. Good luck.

DD-3!!!!! If you set a DD-3 and a DD-6 to the same settings, the DD-3 has more bandwidth because of all the extra circuitry used in the DD-6. I've tried it. Digitech's aren't bad sounding but I've had QC problems with a couple of them.
The Danelectro Dan-Echo is also a great sounding inexpensive pedal + it has a lofi switch which does a good job of replicating an analogue sound.

So far, I got nothing but good things coming out my RV-3... the Danelectro is nice too... not digital sounding.
