Recommend me a lil digital recorder.

It is about high time i get my finger out of my ear, and get something to record with.

I am looking at these kinda things : see below.

I need a recorder for acoustic (with no electrics onboard) and for my cab, i.e. electric.
I'll be honest, i know NOTHING about them, and will have to buy untested.
I heard good things about the Zoom H2, but that is it.

What do you guys use ?

The Zoom H2 is a fantastic recorder for both its open mic. and its line in capabilities. From second hand knowledge, it is to be discontinued, so find one quick or pick one up on Ebay. I own one, use it often, and it really does a great job.

H2 is discontinued because they have an H1 for cheaper, an H4 for the same price, the H4N with way more features for just slightly more, and the Q3HD which is an H4 that also records high-def video.

The Q3HD is only $300...get that one.

What can you tell me about these Zoom produact ?
Are they better than the other ones out there ? Like i said, i know nothign about any of them.
What i will know is what i will read about them, so someone with 1st hand experience will be great !

there was a nice looking stereo recorder in the trading post for like $90 - might still be there. Had a big mic on top of it too.

Don't know what your budget is, but everyone in my band loves using our Edirol HR recorder. One of the best investments I've ever made.

At home, I just use the built in 8-track recorder in my Digitech GNX4 for recording ideas and that works amazingly for capturing ideas as well.

$250.00'ish / $300.00 is really pushing it.
