Recommend me a Strat Set

, as well as possible add a tap into the bridge pickup so that the middle/bridge position doesn't suffer from having an overwound bridge pickup.

Excellent idea. Taps are way underrated.. on the other hand they are a bit difficult... Both for the winder, but also choosing the tapped and untapped length.

This may be a perfect job for the custom shop since they probably do more taps in a month than I used to do in a year.

And if you get them right they are amazing... I double tapped a decent number and triple tapped a few along the way just to try to find sweet spots, and boy is that a pain in the butt.

But if you find it, it is amazing to have a clear clean signal and an over the top punchy signal.

I'm definitely very excited for this. I'm hoping it would be possible to get one wound by Seymour, one wound by MJ, and one wound by Derek.

Seymour doesn't do a ton of winding these days, but there are plenty of pickups out in the wild that he has wound.

For anyone interested in knowing, the bridge for the custom shop 5-2 is overwound by the "equivalent" of roughly 3k compared to standard production.
