Recommended Me A Portable Amp

Hey all,

I current have a Marshall JVM410H and a 2x12 cab with creambacks. Lugging this around gig to gig is giving me back pain. I'm looking for a small 1x12 amp that has a good gain channel and can get the deep bass I get on my main rig. Price is $500 or so. I was looking at a Fender Blues JR, but that's a complete different sound than what I'd like. Any recommendations?

I have the same JVM as well  How about a dolly? If that isn't an option maybe a DSL40C or the older DSL's (JCM2000's). I was looking at DSL's before purchasing the JVM and I was really impressed by what you get for the price.

I recently picked up an Eminence Wizard for my Egnater Rebel 112X and it rocks with my Jubilee head. I'm currently biding my time until the Mini Jubilee ships in the US, and then I'll be picking up the first one I can find at a decent price on the used market. The head weighs 22lbs and the cab is right around the same; that should be a decent lightweight and portable rig unless I need to be LOUD. In that case I can use my Ear Candy Buzz Bomb which tips the scales at 55lbs.

Yeah, the DSL combo is the easy choice, but there's also Jet City and Blackstar combos. You could look at getting a neodymium speaker too, those weigh a lot less.

I have had back problems for a long time. I like combos, but I am pretty much a lifer for the head and cab school of thought. I can carry one at a time and mix and match as wanted for tones.

A folding dolly is an amazing thing as well.
