That would be great! I've got a little cheap one as it's all I could find around here. I definitely need to order one of those. Thanks!

I'm not sure they ship to America but you could always try asking in an electronic store or musicstore or whatever.

I got my PODxt for $180 used - only 80 bucks more than the V-amp, and it allows you to record via USB. If anything, the POD converters will own the crap out of your stock soundcard, not even considering that the xt kicks the crap out of the V-amp, tonewise.

This is very very true. Even just converting a 1/4 inch jack to 1/8 will KILL your sound quality. I personally use normal guitar cables for recording but that's because my soundcard converters are a whole lot better than any stock soundcard, or even the audigy card with 1/4 ins for example.

Sune, don't get the pod 2.0- it sounds gross IMHO and in some ways is worse than the Vamp. Just get the bean off ebay, or alternatively download guitarsuite and maybe something like guitarrig or amplitube for smoother lead sounds- only downside I could think of is you'd need to change your soundcard instead to accomodate asio for low latency. Don't you have TWO tube heads? If I was in your shoes that'd be the thing to do I think. You could record a clean signal direct any hour of the day using the software sims for your sounds and later just reamp the signal with one of your real amps for a waaaay better sound than any modeller could provide. And this is coming from a guy who's used modelling almost exclusively for a while now.
