Reckless Abandon

I have not recorded acoustic drums in about 4 years. Then I was limited in what I could do as far as micing now I have some good mics. Here is what I am am planning on doing. PLease offer comments if you have tried something that works better.
I can record 8 inputs/tracks at a time.
Track 1 sm57 on my g12h-30 speaker
Track 2 Bass direct
Track 3 Snare. Audio Technica 2 inches below snare pointing up at a 45 degree angle OR Facing the top head 2 inches off at a 45
Track 4 Kick Audio Technica 2 inches of the front head inside the drum off 2 inches to the side opposite snare
Track 5 Tom 1. 2 inches from the top angled
Track 6 Tom 2 2 inches from the top angled
Track 7/8 OVerheads about 3 feet higher than my drummer's head about 4 feet apart at a 45.
I may not use but one overhead and use another mic to capture the whole room for a "reverb" to mix in. or to mic my gt12-75 to make the guitar more complex.
thoughts??
thanks
