Im like you, I keep trying to get used to a guitar with an A2P or 59 inthe bridge, cuz I love so many recordings that were done using low powered pups, but I cant bond with them.. Need more power! Tried a PAF pro once too and same thing..

Hmm, I've got a PAF Pro, was going to put it into one of these someday. According to Dimarzio, it's a medium output humbucker, and I like some of those, like the Air Norton and Air Zone.

Yeah the big splatter on the old neck pickup cavity looks kinda odd, the rest looks awesome!
Doing a slighlty less than solid section there would likely have hidden the fill job just as well......

It's hard to stop once you start.

Actually, that was the first spot I went for, and the paint went a lot farther than I expected. I've got enough in the can to do at least 100 more, no joke.

The hardware store didn't have the pint can in stock, only the quart. That made this refinish $9 more than any others aside from the ones I had to redo.

If anyone is interested, I'm going to do a few of these for sale. Just PM me and let me know the configuration you'd want. (Single humbucker, two humbuckers, one volume knob, 3 way switch, etc.) They'd come without electronics. More details in the For Sale sub-forum.
