regulated power supply to elimate hum?

would using a regulated power supply elimate hum when powering pedals?
When I have the couple of pedals i own powered by 9v adaptor and daisy chain they add a fair bit of hum, wondering if a regulated adaptor be the answer? how are they different from other power supplys?

Power supplies with isolated taps (Pedal Power 2 for instance) prevents ground loop hum when used to power effects both in front and in the effects loop.

If you're powering pedals that're only in front or in the effects loop you don't need iso'd taps (IMO).

As for the regulated part.....I donno if that'll cut down your hum or not. I've used a Godlyke Powerall in the past and it was really quiet (and regulated).

i'm using a 1 Spot to power my dunlop wah, EVH phase 90, and then into my NS1. From the NS1, I use a daisy chain to power my other boss pedals (tuner, eq, flange, trem, delay)... no hum at all. of course I have the 1 spot plugged into a surge supressor, maybe that helps in eliminating hum?

I've just used batteries with my TS7 and there's no difference in noise level with the pedal on or off ... together with a new GT12AX7c in V1 my setup is really silent under rellay high gain and master on 7 of 11 i love it...
