Removing the logos from your pickups- Mr. clean

Got a seven string guitar with a pair of duncans and a dimarzio. I typically like having the logos on the pickups, but in this case its a 3 pickup guitar, and only the neck pickup had the duncan logo. Looked a little unbalanced.

So, I searched around the house for somthing to possibly take it off with, lo and behold I picked up a "magic eraser" and a few seconds later, poof, gone was the logo. No scuff factor, just erased.

you're doing that at 3 in the morning?

That's ok, I'm about to go shoot the 2nd layer of clear coat. it's 5 here.

Mr. Clean takes off ANYTHING.

Nah...was only about 2 round here. Plus it was about then when the power came back on so I actually had enough light to do it. Been a couple of power outages round here lately.

But, the power comes on and there's a ****load of ants crawling around my room. Mr. clean kills ants as well. But so does RAID.

Yeah, the magic eraser works alright, but it did dull the side were I removed the logo, you can only see it at an angle though - did I use too much elbow grease??

Anyone use this trick on Zebra's??

if the dullness pisses you off too much just rewax it, than scrape the wax off the top, or you can blowdry the top a bit so that the thin layer of wax starts melting, and it fixes itself.

It does I just used it this afternoon and it worked fine.

I used nail polish remover, it left a bit of a mess.
