I just picked up a new Lonestar Special 4X10 combo to gig with and over all I am happy with the clean and overdrive sounds... This is the only boogie I have ever enjoyed playin myself, have loved the sounds others have gotten with Boogies but I could never find on for me.
Being the tinkering type that I am and since I have always heard bad things about Boogie tubes, anybody got suggestions for changing the preamp tubes? Tube type, and do I need to change all 5 or just the tube shaping non reverb driving tubes. Also, any power amp EL84's I should look into. Thanks alot for the help.
