Replacing Pickups on Tele

I bought some Hot tele pickups Set 11208-11. Im trying to find the correct wiring diag. but not sure which one it is. I got 2 single coils but I think one might be called stacked and 1 volume and 1 tone and 3 way switch. I was looking at the diag 2 tele stacks 1 vol and 1 tone 3 way switch but one the red/white wires it says to solder together and tape off I only have 1 red white wire. I neck pickup has 3 wires and my bridge has 2. I see where to put the ground and hot wires from the pickups but not the 1 red white wire from neck pickup. My first pickup swap.

Tele_1S_1TSTK_4B_1V_1T.webp This is similar to what I got but The neck only has white, black, and red/white wire. My neck doesn't have the green and bare wire. I see one with 1 stack and 1 single coil and 1 tone and 1 volume with 4 way switch but mine only has 3 way switch.

that red wire is new to me, thats not what duncan would use on a stack. was this a used set?

Yes I bought off eBay still in original box but has been used slightly as they put it. Do a set 11208-11 both are suppose to be stacked?

neither should be stacked. that should be a hot tele set which are single coils. each pup should have a pvc covered black and white wire.

the only thing i can think of is someone isolated the neck cover ground wire. do you have a meter?

id check continuity to see where that red wire goes. might just be a ground for the neck cover as i mentioned, if so, it would go to ground. the black and wire pairs should give you like 9.5k for the neck and 16k for the bridge. or something around that, im just going from memory.

Yeah, I bet it is a ground wire. It could also be a tap, though, which is why a meter would be handy.

I just check resistance on all pickups, Neck pickup white to black 16.5k Red to case 0.01 no resistance so it's a ground. Bridge pickup white to black 10.5K

So I presume this will be my diagram and i'll ground the red wire with my bridge and neck grounds on the volume pot. and of course my hot leads to swith.

im assuming you have those numbers reversed, 10.5k neck and 16.5k bridge. if not, theres something off.

but yes, thats the right diagram, with the white wire from the pups going where the yellow is in the pic. the red should just go to ground. look forward to hearing what you think once you get them wired in
