Reverb a must for cleans?...

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

You have all of those pedals and your woman doesn't have a 5s? I don't know about that bro….

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

I like using 10-12ms of delay along with just a touch of reverb. You can't really hear the delay but it opens up your sound. set your delay and then you bleed in a little reverb. A fuller sound without much distraction.

personally i like a lil bit ..faint works well for my playing..if i'm recording then can pick it back up in the mix if need to..love playing clean tho. also like playing guitar -cord and amp..not a gadget guy..over 55 years of playing guitar ~ mercy wish we could live forever..long live the blues.. ;) Db

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

Clean players (or partially clean players)... I just wondered if Reverb was a must for you with cleans (whether spring reverb or pedal reverb) or if you are ok just playing dry? Personally, I absolutely can't stand dry cleans as it sounds so lifeless and dull. Needless to say reverb is a must for me... How about you?
+1!

Can't imagine life without reverb. XD

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

I'm going to get a second H9 soon and the plate algorithm (Then sell some of my other pedals/rack stuff). I've found the H949 Algorithm is pretty useful but I want a little ambience when using it as a harmonizer. I've already got the 2nd mixer pedal for it. :D

I have been using my H9 for reverb a lot as well. So far I am addicted to the reverb and tremolo in that pedal.

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

I add just a touch of reverb, but I always use chorus on clean channel, so no need for a lot of reverb really. I add little reverb on distortion channel too though.

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

I like a little reverb. Sometimes I like a LOT of reverb. But when songwriting, do I really need reverb on every note I play? Sometimes it's better to add some trem/bends to add some dimension to the sound rather than blanketing an entire song in reverb or chorus. Mostly, that's above my skill level but sometimes I can get it right. -Rod-

Re: Reverb a must for cleans?...

Like many here, I use reverb sparingly (only noticeable if I turn it off) - unless, I'm playing a part that needs a cathedral (which I can't fit in my gig-bag).
