Reverb inside an amp, pt. 2.

Re: Reverb inside an amp, pt. 2.

I still have to ask what I asked in the other thread: Why inside? What's the advantage? Don't you want to be able to easily adjust the knobs and click the on/off button? I say just velcro it to the top, and put more velcro, or a mounted storage pouch, inside for storage purposes.

Basically it makes the amp a grab and go type thing that doesn't look bad (I think velcroing a pedal on top would make it look kind of stupid). I have a surge protection outlet on top of the amp (not velcroed and that can be placed inside the amp during transport) and the pedal is just velcroed inside. It gives my mesa reverb with only a couple extra wires. I don't need to worry about switching between clean/od settings with the verb because I play clean basically all the time. I usually just set a touch of reverb depending on the room I'm playing in and roll with it like that for the rest of the time I'm playing there. It works nicely for me without much hassle.

I don't know where my camera managed to go but here is a cell pic of at least the top of the amp. The inside was too dark but basically there is a pedal inside with cables going to the effects loop and the adapter going to the outlet. Simple and sounds good.

The Grail is great but the hof mini has a better enclosure, and using that tone print feature which can sync up wirelessly to an iPhone can nail pretty much any reverb sound.
