Reverb pedal recommendation

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I bought one thanks to Lew's recommendation and really like it. :)

Thanks! I really do like it. I use it to add reverb to my tweed Fender amps without reverb. Since it's stereo with two outputs I use it to split my guitar signal so I can drive two tweed amps in stereo. And I also use it in the effects loop of my SWR California Blonde acoustic guitar amp/vocal amp because the Verbzilla has much nicer reverb tone than the built in reverb in the Cali Blonde.

I like the Verbzilla too. It's got more reverb sounds than I ever knew existed and most of them are great! Very realistic, doesn't sound digital.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I had a T-Rex Tonebug which was very good, but the T-Rex Roomster is astounding. Wonderful sounding thing.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

Verbzilla, again based on forum recommendations. I also like the Digitech DigiVerb. I'd love to check out the Fender reverb tank, but it's a heck of a lot more than just a pedal.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

Between the Boss RV-2 and DigiTech DigiVerb I have, I like the DigiTech a lot better. The RV-2 is old and a little noisy. The DigiTech is really good at the quiet, barely-there reverb settings I like, while it can also be set with the dry signal cut out all the way. This can be neat on the reverse mode.

The Line6 Verbzilla seems to be the reverb of the forum. I've never been into Line6 products, but the Verbzilla I tried a long time ago was great.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I bought a Zoom 507 a long time ago. I do not think they are made anymore, but it has a whole bunch of programmable reverbs and it sounds awesome!

Only thing is on these digital effects is it is easy to forget how to set them up or change them. Then you have to refer back to the manual.

Probably you could land one on eBay.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

Has anyone tried that new boss "Fender" reverb pedal?

Not that I'm a big reverb nut or anything... if I use any at all its on the amp. If I want some ambiance I'd rather use a pinch of delay. Those real Fender tanks are something else though... little magic boxes they are!

BTW - had to google that boss pedal & put 'boxx' in there... came up with this... hehehe

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I'm gonna represent for the Holy Grail. Fantastic toally organic natural sounding spring verb. Great hall sound also. I'll recommend that of you are just looking for a basic verb sound and are a set and forget kind of guy. On off switch and one knob for verb amount. Done. I'll recommend the Holier grail if you need a bit more tweakability. I use my Holy into my Pro Jr. and love it. Nails "Don't Fear The Reaper" like no one s business. as springy as the springiest verbs I've ever had without explosions...

However - on recommendations/love here I have also checked out the Zilla. Also on my list and awesome for when you need/want many different kinds of verb. Plate, for example, I only use for VH1 sounds. But I might like to have it every once and again.

And my choice for the holy of holies reverb is an old Peavey Valverb. It's a tube driven tremolo/reverb in a single rack space and it is the ultimate verb tone IMO.
