Reverse engineering on bias

Is there a device that you can plug into your power tube socket(s) that will tell you what your current bias setting is? I need to buy tubes for my Rivera Chubster 40....and I have no idea how to set the bias on it. So, I figure if I knew the current bias setting I could just buy tubes rated for that.

Yes, a Weber BiasRite will let you do that. I use mine all the time if I don't want to pull out the chassis.

Re: Reverse engineering on bias

The bias rite will do that but it won't help you find tubes that match the current ones. The good news is that if you have a bias rite, you can set the bias on the Rivera yourself.

Excellent......just what I needed to know. Thanks.

Just got an email back from Bob at Eurotubes walking me thru the bias process on the Rivera. I also just picked up a BiasRite off of Ebay so I'm ready to roll.
