I don't mind at all :-)

Re: Reversed Headstock Appreciation Thread

There are some guitars which simply MUST have a reverse headstock, I currently own one, a BC Rich Gunslinger,a guitar which is definitely on that list. Other classics: Kramer Nightswan, Peavey Vandenberg, and I really loved the first ESP Gus G with the reverse headstock and Floyd Rose.:firedevil

All awesome guitz so far as seen. Am I neurotic or does it just feel better like rawdog style? Me drinking. Lo Siento.

Re: Reversed Headstock Appreciation Thread

+1 I had a friend who had a Strat that had a reverse headstock & I just couldn't get used to it. As far as Reverse headstocks go for me it would be a Firebird. I love those minihums. They sound just soooo right! Its one of the few guitars that I always wanted(a 1976 Bicentennial would be the one I would probably go with) That I never got. Mostly because back in the day I already had an SG and they were similar tonally so I never got one. Someday!

+1. Firebirds are the one reverse headstock guitar I like. Mini-HB's are especially good in the neck slot.

I like those Kramer Nightswan and Peavey Vandenberg guitars too. I love the headstock on the Vandenburgs. It's like the hat on a little gnome dancing on the stage at a Spinal Tap concert.

Re: Reversed Headstock Appreciation Thread

Aesthetics: IMO looks good on straighter headstock designs like Ibanez, ESP knife, Firebird, etc. I don't care for the look with offset headstock designs like Jackson, Explorer, etc.

Playability: With a traditional nut, I like regular headstocks better because I prefer the higher perceived tension on the bass strings instead of the treble strings. With a locking nut: doesn't matter.

Tuning: I prefer regular headstocks. Reaching over the top to tune seems more natural to me than reaching under.

One day I'll own these guitars.... Fingers crossed

Re: Reversed Headstock Appreciation Thread

I really like em. On fenders it makes the lower strings sound deeper to me. I really dig it on my Dark Lord.
