Review: Eminence Lil' Buddy 10"

I love my Epiphone Galaxie 10. Sort of like a blackface champ vibe. But I've always battled with the brittle-ness of the amp. its either too boxy or too shrill.

I've swapped tubes and settled on a EHX 12AX7 and a JJ 6L6GC. better but still a huge high mid to low high hump.

so i used 15% off coupon code and got a lil' buddy for $64

I put it in yesterday and this is the smoothest and most clean 10" speaker i have ever used! the highs are muted but somehow still there. with my tele the amp really comes alive now. big super clean bass that extends to the low mids.

bottom line: if you have a shrill amp then try this 10" speaker out.

i have one too and i like it. strong fat bottom and mids with muted highs. i was using it in a much different amp and found it too dark. it replaced a jensen p10q which was lacking bottom and low mids. the two of those speakers together are a great combo, a very wide and balanced sound with ample everything and no annoying peaks
