The easiest(Nontechnical) way would be to change the speaker. Next the tone stack in the amp can be altered by a tech.

Sometimes, a change of tubes to a different type or even brand will make a huge difference. But often, asking for a "revoice" is a bad buy.
For example, one shouldn't buy a Peavey 5150 if one only plays jazz.
So do tell us, what amp are we talking here and what is your problem with it ? Some changes in tone are easy to obtain, if you want something completely different, you're perhaps better off buying an amp that already does all that you want.

"Revoicing" usually refers to changes in the actual circuit, from the tone stack to the gain stages. "Rotating a magnet on a speaker" won't do anything, except maybe change the phase of the speaker depending on what you call "rotating", you might also ruin the speaker in the process.

if so, you're best off buying a new amp that does what you want it to do.

Ok, I have a Clark Belmont(4x10super reverb) built to Derek Truck's specs. It has his custom speaker built by Ted Weber and sold only by Lord Valve. I also had it tubed by Lord Valve. My problem is the playing dynamics of my SG. I'm really happy with my tone and feel of guitar/amp with my 335 through pedals. I'm really happy with the tone and feel of guitar/amp with SG at lower volumes where you can hear all the nuances and TOUCH plays a big factor. My problem is when its time for gig time and the amp has to be played out loud for slide.....I feel like I'm disconnected from the guitar.......like all dynamics are gone and I have to completely change my touch. Its kinda hard to explain. I'm just on the brink of what I want but don't quite have it and its racking my brain. I want DEREK TRUCKS tone and almost have it, then I want to make it my own especially the fingerstyle playing.
Ok, I can get what I want at lower volumes- clean glassy slide, note clarity, and nuanced touch.
At stage volumes - I lose everything......I can sorta get what i want with the guitar on 10 and the amp on 10 for leads, but when its time to roll off and play rhythm I can't get that "spongy" feel.
If I knew it was all me and my habits I'd be happy to practice them out. But my gut tells me its not. It just seems that with nice equipment and playing straight into the amp, all the "impurties" are amplified. If you get what I'm saying. I'm sorta in one of those ruts where I'm just not happy with what I'm hearing......I hear one thing one day and another thing the next.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's odd, but it doesn't sound like it should be a complete revoice. When was the last time it had a fresh set of tubes and what brand are they ? You might want to shoot Jon from www.thetubestore.com a mail, he knows his stuff for real instead of feeding / being fed by hype.
Other then that, perhaps your SG might not be optimal. Do you have a good piece of wood or a USA Standard ? Good pots and caps ? Good pickups ? Instead of changing things on the end of the sound chain, you might want to take care of the beginning first.
And don't forget the most important thing. You could walk up to Derek after he's done soundchecking and use his gear with his settings .. and sound nothing like him.
Derek on the other hand will still sound like Derek if he'd play a Squier strat through a Marshall Valvestate.
Nothing wrong with getting inspiration for a certain tone somewhere, but enjoy your own sound and play well. :beerchug:
