Rewinding a F noiseless

I got one Fender noiseless that has the upper coil broken at the start and wasn't salvageable at all. Instead of paying me, the customer left this dead pickup in my shop as an learning aid. I decided to rewind the top coil just for the fun of it.

I am always finetuning my neck pup sound and it is either too weak or too hot for my taste in conjunction with my bridge pup. Right now I am running a stock Fender pup in neck pos that has around 7.5k DCR, but I noticed that noiseless pups read 10k. But they don't sound like 10k. Well maybe I'm wrong.

So what's the deal with the stacked coil, is one coil just for the noise cancellation and doesn't add to the total sonical output? What I want is a slightly hotter single-coil in the neck pos. Each coil reads half the total DCR so they are obviously paired in series.

Any help would be nice. I like the sound of noiseless pups in it's essence, but the output is just too weak for me with my stock Fender pup.

I have another stash of old genuine Fenders so if I never like the rewound noiseless I can still rewind a true single-coil to my likings afterwards. But before I go and strip down a perfectly good pup, I wanna play around with this noiseless pup.
