RHCP - Under the Bridge

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

They both sound great man! Under the bridge is cool, but have to "open yourself" as you did on the other song. You sing solid and it sounds very good, but you didn't show the level of emotion and connection as you did before!

But it would be very hard for me to criticise withoput being there or get a professional recording.

Nice clips man! Thanx!

i agree totally with what you're saying...especially on Kryptonite! i rushed them way to much!

i think it's harder for me to connect with a song if i'm not playing it while singing it???

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

I really love the tone and dynamics of your vocals. My only criticism probably has more to do with the equipment, since there's a lot of reverb on your voice. You sound awesome, Mike!!

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

i went back into Garageband and made the vocals stand out a bit more and removed some of the reverb and delay...

i think it helped some!?!?!?!

give it a re-listen?

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

You have a very nice tone and good pitch. If garage band has a plate reverb try that on the vocals also compress them more. It will probably be hard to get them to gel with the backing track but you don't need that much reverb on your voice. You could also add a little delay on them. Good job man.

Yeah, man. That one sounds great! Please tell me you're in a band.

Can I upload a cover song?

Can I upload a remix?

Generally speaking, no. The only exception is if you have the written approval from both the owner of the original recording and the owner of the underlying musical composition. Tracks determined by SoundClick to be "pirated" recordings will be deleted immediately and the artist page subject to permanent deletion. Please see our solution center on licensing issues for more details.
Where can I get get legal loops or samples I can use?

It's OK to use samples that are explicitly copyright free. So you are allowed to use beats from Making Waves, Total Ejay, or similar packages. If you're looking for loops or beats you can use, check out the category 'beats and instrumentals', where you can find beats for free or for sale.

Never upload material from bands and artists just because you like the song. You can be held liable for copyright infringement.

By uploading you agree to our Music Submission Agreement

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

not sure if ur being upity? cause u just said the same

I just recorded with a backing track one of my fav covers, and it sounds awesome, more awesome than my singing on my originals, cause the production is already mainly done well, and its a song people know, so its easier for people to like it

whateva

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

wow...well...yeah...i liked the instrumental tracks because i don't have RECORDING EQUIPMENT...i have a built in mic in a laptop computer?

there is a version of "Times Like These" on there that was played live...

and there's some older songs on there as well that are originals too...

i'm not trying to make money on these...lol...or pawn them off as my own music...i'm just singing over tracks and recording them because it's fun...no more...no less?!

i have tons of originals and actually had some songs get local radio play once upon a time...but i don't have recording equipment or the desire to get any really and i'm definitely not paying for recording time at a studio just to share some songs with my SDUGF bros...no offense to any of them...lol!

i know what you're saying man...and i appreciate the warning...which i think was given with good intentions...if they delete my account...oh well

Not upity, just confused by that sentence/fragment/text message. It seemed like you meant its not cool to do a cover and not everyone writes. Many just enjoy playing music they love.
Its all good :)

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

obviously a big miscomunication due to typing stuff out instead of speaking in person...no biggie!

i think we all interpreted your posts as ripping on me for doing a cover song...it's all good...no worries!

Re: RHCP - Under the Bridge

vox are VERY good

ok, I could see it, 3 people and all, it mainly just suprised me that you uploaded after reading their blatant warning and then clicking yes that you would not upload other's copyrighted stuff, and then discounted my prior compliment,no biggie, no worries just typing and naut talking I guess no worries
