Rhythm Amp

how many of you use an amp just for rhythm? that's how i'm feeling about my mesa 5:50. oh man with a pedal or without you can get some awesome rhythm tones with that amp, but i'm just not feeling it for lead tone. i don't know if it's worth keeping around just for a rhythm amp. the clean channel is very good, but i never use clean for solos. kind of stuck with a decision to make.

Re: Rhythm Amp

I've got 1 main amp, my Marshall TSL602...

I don't have the money or the space to allow just 1 amp for rythm stuff and another for leads etc. If I had the extra $$ and space then hell yeah.

If you've got the room and $$ etc, and you like the tone, go for it. I'm sure alot of pros do this, thats why you see them backed by so much amp gear. John Frusciante and The Edge come to mind... But to me, I'd like 1 amp that can do both rythm and lead. If I had a second amp, it would probably be for a different tone altogether.

BTW, if you like something bro, just do it. Listen to your ears...
