Rickenbacker Pickups

Is there a SD option to replace pickups on Rickys? I have a hum I can not get rid of with the standard pickups and am looking at options. I replaced my Strat pickups with SD Lil'59ers' and got a really good result. Looking for something similar on the Ricky??

That sounds like a major custom job!

I've just rewired all the earth circuits on the RIcky and made a definite improvement on what I had 8~)

I am pretty sure SD makes them...maybe a custom shop thing?

Kiwijohn,

The buzz it part of the charm. Enjoy it, shield it, jury-rig it ...but don't rip it up ...it's a Ricky ! Unless you're Paul Weller, leave that thing stock !
