AmpliFIRE said:I have tried a C5 and BBQ in my LP's...The C5 was very clean and articulate sounding with huge bass and scooped mids. I've since swapped it out for a BBQ and couldn't be happier. The BBQ sounds HUGE with sweet mids for soloing and a large bottom as well. It's the best pup that I've tried to date. The harmonic overtones that this pickup produces are amazing.

What pots are you using with the BBQ??
I think he's talking about the Duncan Custom...AmpliFIRE said:I have tried a C5 and BBQ in my LP's...The C5 was very clean and articulate sounding with huge bass and scooped mids. I love the SH-5 by the way! Perfecty balanced, aggressive, tight pickup. Love the thumping lows, the cutting mids, and the crystal cut highs. GREAT pickup. Some would argue one of Seymour's finest. Definetely satisfying.
AmpliFIRE said:Nope...I meant the C5. I've tried both the SH5, the C5 as well as the BBQ in my LP. You're correct in saying that the SH5 has cutting mids however, I felt that the C5 was lacking mids.
papersoul said:I am sure you will agree that the BBQ is the fattest and warmest of the three.
The only pickup I like as much is the JB.
I want to try some Andersons however!
