Has anyone tried a guitar build with a roasted body from warmoth?
I decided for my build that I am going to use Swamp Ash for the wood, but hadn't decided if I am going to have them roast it or not.
Anyone have any experience with roasted bodies, particularly in regions where the temperature and humidity varies wildly throughout the year?
One of the reasons I am considering having them roast the body is for stability. I live in a hot and humid area and want the body to be as stable as possible despite changes in temperature and humidity. Aesthetics, at least on the top, are a non-issue since they're putting a laminate top on it anyway.
For regions with greater variance in temperature and humidity, will roasting the body improve stability?
Thanks,
GreatOz
