Rocking the new Grote...

Late night solo...too lazy to do a new backing track so this is over the same Charvel/Balls deep in blood track I used before...

I will say after a bit of fine-tuning the pick-up height/action, this thing sounds SWEET! The pup's look like EMG's except they're passive (!?) & lower output than I'm used to ...but damn..they're packed with a TON of tone! Warm, woody, hollow, sweet, round..it's all that and more :bigthumb:

One of those guitar's that really feels "alive" in your hands when you play it...



Officially the best $200 I've ever spent

Yeah, it's quite warm/mellow but never gets muddy & it cuts through very nicely, has fantastic note definition/clarity & sounds really sweet to me..quite a unique sounding axe and pretty different from any other one I own. The EQ in this vid is unchanged from the one in my Charvel video over the same backing track & if you compare the two, there's quite a huge difference in the lead tone/(gain) texture..

My Randall is a pretty warm/dark sounding amp too..but it's amazing how different this Grote guitar sounds with different amps/EQ settings..it's really very sensitive to that.
