Rocktron Hush

Has anyone had much experience with the Rocktron line of noise limiters like the HUSH Super C for guitars, or any of it's older predecessors? Any experiences with the pedal version?
I'm wanting to decrease the hissing and humming I hear after running my guitar through the effects pedals, and into the amp. I don't want to take anything away from my tone. I've read mixed reviews at the Harmony Central forum (which I take for what it's worth), but I always would rather get input from fellow SD members.

Thanks for any info!

Re: Rocktron Hush

i can only speak from exxperience of having their hush circuitry built into my rocktron rack gear and i have to say i think it is very impressive, especially on the proGAP ... i just set that knob once with my hands off the strings and it stays locked in all night ... if i am not playing, no sound is coming out - period ... and it doesnt crap out on me when i have to play quiet parts

highly recommend

Re: Rocktron Hush

Thanks t4d,
I've been wondering if I could get away with buying the pedal rather than the rackmountable equipment. According to Rocktron the pedal has the same technology as the HUSH Super C and some of their other products. The only real difference I saw was the difference in maximum dB noise filtering. The pedal can take out up to 60dB of gain reduction & the Super C takes out from 72dB to 105dB. Would that mean that the Super C can be fine-tuned a little more than the pedal to eliminate noise?
