I used the Rampage pedal for years and it has many fine sounds, now i'm using my amp for distortion but have wondered myself what this pedal sounds like.

The zombie is terrible IMO. Sounds like a metal zone which also sounds terrible.

One I like in that group of pedals is the Silver Dragon. It mayt be worth a try as well.

but i would prefer for zombie more fat and the bottom.

The Silver Dragon wont do crushing modern metal gain. It has decent amounts of mids which you cant scoop ..and it gets a bit fuzzy too.

if you had money u should change the tube using eh gold plate or jj tube.

I just bought myself the Zombie for Christmas. My only problem with it is that you cant really turn the gain down that much. But the control over EQ and wave shape makes it a lot of fun to mess with. Like the Metal Zone, the thrill lies in the EQ section, but the overall distortion character is way different.
