Does the Vox have the built in effects like the micro cube?

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

if effects are waht you want consider a Line 6 Spider these amps are very versetaille and they have much better tone than the roland, allthough they are slightly more expensive

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

I have one but I got a great deal on a used one. If I were buying new, I'd save 25 bucks and get a Cube 15 so I could switch channels.

The Micro Cube has okay clean headroom but excels at lightly dirty tones. Its Marshally tones are so-so but its high-gain tones are pretty good.

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

Listening to those clips tells me that COSM found on the roland amps has improved a lot over the Boss GT-3 that I have now. Really nice. Thanks, now I am thinking of getting one :-). And the reverb is a lot better than the Blues Jr, as you remarked in your previous post.

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

I bought one the other day and I think they're cool little amps. Nice tone all around. Then I stumbled across a Kustom Tube 12A which is an actual tube amp w/an 8 inch Celestion. It was more of what I wanted, so I'm taking the Micro Cube back to Guitar Center.

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

Can't really go wrong with either Vox or Roland. I personally like the Roland more, but the cleans on the Vox seriously cannot be beat!

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

I am in the same boat as Stratcat!!! I was hooked on the VOX AD30, but have doubts about the reliability...Have there been any complaints of these little guy baking out??? Harmony Central rates them higher in that (reliability) catagory than the VOX, but then again the VOX kills them in everything else??? I have an old Roland DAC15...been a strong little preformer for over 15 years!!!!

Anybody played them both???

Re: Roland Micro Cube Amp

The soundsamples aren't giving you a good idea about the amp, infact it doesn't sound like that IMO

No disrespect to Roland in anyway but try the amp IRL and then make yourself an opinion about it. I don't say it's bad in any way so don't get me wrong.
