who's here in Tips & Clips land?

last 1 in is a rotten poseur!

& while ur here, why dontcha listen 2 a forum members clip & leave a comment. Some nyce clips are going barely noticed, cuz too many of u are doing nothing but either gaying off in the sound room, or posing with GAS.

We play & appreciate music, right?

So, SDUG attendence! who's here?

Re: Roll Call!

I visit this room all the time! I should comment more, because you're right - there is a lot of really good stuff in here. I also would like to post something new in a few weeks - I'm just starting a new round of recording right now, and hopefully something good will come from it.

But yeah, we def. need more posters in here. There's some very cool, creative stuff! Join in the fun! Let's be a community of musicians instead of a bunch of lame gear heads.

Re: Roll Call!

I visit a lot, as well, but am guilty of not commenting as much as I should.

Re: Roll Call!

I'm here often. You wanna talk about why you're running the dyn's in the horizontal plane or what??? Cause we'll talk it, oh yes we will.

Re: Roll Call!

I have posted a few... 200 maybe?! :laugh2:

Seriously, we have some very good musicians that post here.. frigginfersherdudes~

Re: Roll Call!

I was surprised that what I thought was a very good bass improv was barely noticed. (see page two)

I mean come on, 36 people looked at the thread and that's recounting people who checked more than once.

yeah, i know how that feels.

Me, personally, I'd <3 to hear from a person who listens to a clip of mine & doesn't feel it. Maybe with their comment(s), that person can shed some light of something a composition, arrangement, or recording is missing & really help me out.
Plus, if speaking from the <3, it usually only takes a few seconds to throw down a thought. Not bad, if u spent the time to listen to someones clip in the 1st place.

I think it's the pressure of 'putting something tackfully', that takes up a listeners time. Cuz it sure don't take long to say, "dude, i wasn't feelin' it bro". It sounds a little forced, but with perserverence you'll improve".

Re: Roll Call!

PPL don't like me! :yell: But in all fairness, I flame Pros that suck! Not the guys in the forum! LOL! I try to be good to U!

Re: Roll Call!

Actually, although I share T4D's problem, usually I don't post because I prefer to take the time to really listen before critiquing someone's work. I really don't like to give off-the-cuff assessments of an artistic endeavor.

But if that's what you want, I could probably accommodate you.

(waitaminute: 'foamy needs accommodations? He's 504?)

hahaha, that's why they put me close to the front of the room.

Re: Roll Call!

I should have no right to comment...listen to my clips and see my posts and find that I walk a fine like between player and poseur.

As soon as you start posting stuff to rival the pros and can back up your words, we might just quit calling your BS all the time.
