Rotosound strings

anybody use them? how do they compare to eb or elixir?

I think rotosounds have a GREAT chime and brilliance when brand new, but they lose that quality very quickly. After that they are just sloppy feeling, dull strings.

I prefer D'addarios.

To be honest, i use Rtosounds ONLY in my strat - which is very bright guitar. Those strings can really tame highs in a good way. On darker sounding guitars they sound dull as Erled_G said.
I've tried Ernie Balls, Daddarios and Drs on my strat - but nothing beats Rotosunds.
Still I like Ernie Balls on my Washburn (double cut LP, gibson scale, two buckers) more.
I suppose you got to try different strings and find "holy grail" to one guitar and start a second journey for another...

I use rotosound 12s on my acoustic. They are great strings but they tend to wear out faster than daddarios. If you wipe them, they are worth it. IMO they are better than daddatio on acoustic guitars...

I like them on bass (trubass black nylon, super cool) and acoustic, but have never really had them on electric, except a set of flatwound 12's on my jaguar, which I LOVE.

They're more or less all I'm using on my electric guitars, and can't say I've noticed any dullness of them after a while.
