My local shop is selling Ruby tubes, and I've never heard of them. Does anybody have any experience with them?

Definitely Chinese. I'm using Mesa's STR-440, which are tested/repackaged/relabeled Ruby 6L6GC-MSTR, and they are a nice full sounding rock/metal power tube. People on the Boogie Board have their own faves, and don't rave about them much at all (everyone seems to want to pitch what they have stock
), but I think they very good. I would buy them again, but I'm kinda drooling to check out a set of Russian SED =C= Winged C's. People rave about those almost universally. YMMV.
