S1 Wiring on Strat

Re: S1 Wiring on Strat

good luck dude... use the search function here, or check my threads, i made an inquiry about it some time back, but let me assure you, you're in for a big headache.. unless you wire it directly to the switch

Re: S1 Wiring on Strat

Can you post the exact model number of your Strat? That way, I can look up the diagram and see what I can do. Those S1 diagrams are bears, though.

Hi

I really appreciate you guys trying to help.

What I have done is all Black to the switch as per diagram joined with red.

All white to the volume pot as per diagram.

Green and bare to ground

It seems to be working - at least the 18 year old who plays the damm thing is happy.

If what I have done is so wrong you guys are getting your shoe laces out let me know please.

With a Duncan, you should go: green and bare to ground. (You did that.)
Red and white together. (To the switch.)
Black as the output. (To the volume pot.)

The way you have it now, I believe you have one coil of the humbucker out-of-phase. The sound should be fairly weak and lacking bass.

Then again, if it sounds good . . . ;)
