WoW!!! Wow wow

That was to die for my friend. Amazing tone. Great playing.

The tone was unbelievable. . .

Very cool. My favorite thing about your playing is those shredding passages that you do with chromatic notes or superlocrian scales maybe... What are you doing there eh?

Is there a chance that I could get the backing?

I have a suggestion if you want to hear it: On a track like this, maybe try to outline the chords more - to give it a really tasty melodic quality. Maybe try resolving on stronger chord tones on a 1 beat of some bars... That would really accentuate each statement you are making, and put a definite END to your musical ideas. That's more of how I would approach this kind of track.

Thanks for posting!!

I'm always impressed by your playing. You have THE best phrasing I've heard in a long while. Very commercially digestable, you could easily be a session guitarist. You know, it wouldn't surprise me if you were the guitarist from the Weather Channel, I mean that in a very good way. ;)
That had a lot of emotion to it, it actually got my heartrate up.

Did you use your POD for that? If not, what's the secret?

I don't know what the chords are in this tune. I did this video as a 2nd take without having listened to the backing to the end during the first one.

The beauty of improvisation is that everyone has their own view on how to approach it which makes it a personal experience.

the BT is here: http://learjeff.net/jams/I'll%20Still%20Love%20You.mp3

hey thanks. I don't know what the Weather Channel is but "comercial" is certainly not a bad thing in my books.

I like to phrase. I am not particulary interested in copying other peoples solos.

yes, its a pod.

thanks

Wow man, i can't believe that's a POD, you make it sound so natural. I think that answered my question about POD vs Boss GT, I guess I gotta' go get a POD now huh? Lol.

Well, I don't want to confuse you but I like the Boss stuff as well. I've been using the COSM amp sims (the ones they use in the GT gear) for a year now and I like them. Here's a blues. Track like these were done with the Boss:

Also, I had a chance to check out a GT-8 at my friends house and its a cool unit too.
I'd say that the POD has more variety on the amp sim side, whilst the Boss has a few good usable tone. Boss has much better effects. POD is easier and quicker to program and has a great web interface.

I don't know, its a tough decision choosing between these 2 units.
