Saddles for Strat

Starting to poke around -

Still tweaking the 'Cheeze Machine'. Its got bent steel saddles off a Vintage Trem bridge. What I'd like to see is if there's a Milled steel block saddle that will work with the original hardtail bridge. Not looking for Callaham or uber high-endy stuff - if they offer that.

I'd prefer them not to be powder-coated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Saddles for Strat

Look at Mojotone and see if any of the Gotoh steel saddles will work. They have a few different options. Measure yours to see which ones will work.

Re: Saddles for Strat

Thanks - was looking through Gotoh's site to check on that. Seems they have the 2.125 saddles, which could work in a pinch. Might even go Hipshot and replace the whole shebang.

Very pleased with 3 Gotoh 510 Bridges and a Vintage trem.

BTW, also saw a new Tele bridge I might snag for the double bender.

Re: Saddles for Strat

Graphtech String Saver saddles could be the answer. Just make certain to get the correct width spacing.

Re: Saddles for Strat

GFS sells a set of stainless steel saddles. I have them on one of my Strats.
Sounds good and they're cheap!

Re: Saddles for Strat

My 2 cents - I have Graphtechs on my MIM Strat. In my case they improved the sustain and sound a bit, but not nearly as much as I was expecting.

Re: Saddles for Strat

I have the imported Graph-Techs on both of my modified Squier Standard Strats and they are the best IMO.
