Watch the video Satch Tapes...... I think there is info on that Kramer in that video... I also read that that Kramer is a Single humbucker and 2 single coils guitar..... Could be a Fred in that guitar but i have been led to believe otherwise.... i thought the Blue Dream album was the first album with Freds...
In the Satch Tapes video i think that is where Joe says that the Surfing album was recorded with $5,000... Hey got a letter in the mail from a credit card company offering him a new card so he signed up.... $5000 was the maximum credit so he used it to record the album.... the last tune on the album they didn't have enough recording tape to finnish the song... so they raided the garbage cans in the studio and spliced together pieces of tape to be able to finnish the project!!!!
