Satriani's new Mini JSX Amp !!

Just opened the newest issue of musician's hotline, and there stands Joe Satriani holding a new amp in the JSX signature series from Peavey. The JSX MINI COLOSSAL. Theres no info on the Peavey website yet, darn it. It looks like it will be a 1x12 combo, and the ad says it is a class A amp, with tremolo, and speaker simulated direct line out.

Its must have 3 channels/modes because the ad says it can run clean, crunchy, or "down and dirty" (their words, not mine) I can see it has an effects loop too. Controls look very minimal (4 knobs) but I cant read them in the ad. I am really interested in this one. I have always liked the JSX Head and combo, but they are more amp than I need most of the time.

Anyone have more info on this one ??

I tried the JSX out last night - pretty average amp, IMO.

If it's cheap, though, it'd definitely be a cool little amp.

I tried the JSX out last night - pretty average amp, IMO.

If it's cheap, though, it'd definitely be a cool little amp.

In my experience they are anything but ordinary, but you gotta tweak!!

You tried which one? The MINI or the regular JSX combo? If you tried the MINI, give us the low down on it.

There's a good Joe interview on www.musicplayers.com where he talks about the new amp briefly at the end, and he also talks a bit about the Mo' Joe pickup. it's a pretty informative interview for any Satch fans.

I talked to a Peavey rep. He said the amp will be announced and unveiled at winter NAMM in January. He wouldn't give up any other info. Good things come to those who wait....
