It's not RMS, that's peak . . . RMS is 282.88 watts . . . and even that sounds pretty damed fishy to me. Maybe they're referring to power drawn from the wall, not power supplied to the speaker.

Also check the ohm rating: 4, 8, 16? Possible, but unlikely...
