Scammed By Vox?

Re: Scammed By Vox?

How they have it right now with the lil NT and the 50 watt are very clear. This was not how the NT15 was.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

It's clear that those who bought it for $300 are owed a rebate. Most of my comments are about the people who got it for $250. That's when the "instant savings" was listed. I'm still curious whether the rebate was still being advertised when that "instant savings" was added.

There was some overlap for sure. Although SW is claiming there wasn't. I know there was overlap because when I ordered my second one I even asked my rep about the rebate and he said it would work fine.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

I sent the paperwork in and have been denied. Now you have heard it.

Did you get it in writing? I am waiting for something "official" and in writing from Vox so that I can respond.

Since the offer is valid until the end of December and they gave themselves 6-8 weeks to process the rebate I do not expect anything until January. I expect Vox and Sweetwater to make all attempts to undermine any additional submittals of the rebate in an attempt to mitigate their total exposure.

I called them. Gave them my name. They looked up my rebate info. They said your rebate was processed and you should have received a letter in the mail that it was declined. Now I have dealt with rebates for about 15 years. I know pretty well that most of the time they never send a letter to you saying that you are declined. They just hope you forget. So just as in your case...if you are waiting for something you will probably be waiting forever. That is usually what they are hoping for. I would suggest everyone call if you are expecting a rebate.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

I don't handle situations like this by phone. If I do not receive my rebate, or a written response after 8 weeks, I will email Vox. If they do not respond I will email Sweetwater. If that does not work I will go to certified mail giving both time to respond.

The rebate offer was in writing and my acceptance was in writing. It makes it much easier to deal with in the event that Vox wants to play games as you are experiencing now.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

Best of luck on that method. Its all a finger pointing game between Vox and SW. And in the end the customer loses.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

I would highly recommend anyone that expects a rebate for them to call in. The more calls they get on things like this...the more money the lose for time with being on calls. I am being told that Vox managers are in talk with SW and I should know something new week. But do I believe this? Not really. Im sure since I keep calling that this just get me off their back. So I really suggest everyone call. Give you name. They will look up your rebate and tell you that you are denied. Then start the process.

Vox - Hit 0 then tell the operator you want Customer Server.

Hate to burst your bubble but its largely wasted effort but if it makes you happy have at it. They have people that get paid their 8 bucks an hour to answer to answer the phone whether you call or not. Sure they might pull up your rebate each time but this doesnt trigger anything special. Having them pull it up 12 times a day wont do anything special either.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

They don't have very many people there. I've called and received the same person. When I got someone different I said I spoke to a woman yesterday and he immediately said Bernadette. That tells me there aren't many there. They are of course timed on each call. So each call costs them money. If they are getting calls all day about the same issue from everyone that they are scamming...well that that's them losing money. You take me calling 12 times a day and take 100 other people doing that with the same issue. Its quite a difference in wasted money.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

Edgecrusher, you seem to know everything that's going on here and seem to know what not to do. What are you suggesting someone does in the situation we are in? Just say screw it..its only $200?

What is your time worth to you? Based on the amount of time you've already spent on this, it looks like the answer is "not a lot".

Re: Scammed By Vox?

Since I tend to be aggressive when I am being ripped off, nah I guess its not worth much. Thanks for the helpful post in pointing that out.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

Voice communication is worthless for most legal issues.

Tell them in writing. Keep copies. Follow-up...IN WRITING.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

Ratherdashing, 21,000 posts in 7.5 years? It's rather obvious your time is not worth much to you either. I could certainly use that $100. the pawnshop still has some of my guitars. I get that rebate and I could get another one back. No I'm not rich an d if you have not noticed the economy sucks. So yeah it is definitely worth trying to get my rebate.

HAHAH!!! You took the words right out of my mouth. Good luck everyone with their rebates.

Re: Scammed By Vox?

I had to do the math.....21,000 posts in 7.5 years works out to about 8 posts a day! Rather Cool Ratherdashing

Hmm, so the guy who is admittedly hurting for cash AND has guitars on pawn just bought a new amp.

Must be the economy's fault.

Anyway, yeah, keep talking **** about me if you want. Whatever does it for ya.
