Schecter c1 custom

Hey Guys!

I'm looking into getting a new electric guitar and I want it to play music such as blink 182, sum 41, asking alexandria and a day to remember. I found a schecter c1 custom for 360$ and it comes stock with a duncan custom custom in the bridge, and a 59 in the neck I believe. I also found an epi les paul standard plus top for 350, comes with standard pups in it. I love the feel and look of both, i just dont know if one is a better value than the other. I was just looking for some input or maybe some other guitar ideas. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks!

Both of those are priced a little high, but the Schecter will probably sound better and should give you the sound you're looking for.

Would that still hold true if i wanted to play some things like My Chemical Romance as well? As much as I love the Schecter, I dont see them used very often

Re: Schecter c1 custom

If you're looking at those two options, I would go for the Schecter. I took a chance about 7 years ago and bought a used C-1 Classic off eBay; I'm so glad I did because that guitar is still a serious workhorse and definitely my favourite player complete with gorgeous looks. It's seen many pickup swaps and has been used to play everything from jazz and classic rock, to 80s pop, heavy rock and thrash, to Dream Theater and downtuned C-standard Swedish metal. I also picked up a used A-7 Avenger from a forum bro here and I love it every bit as much as its 6-string brother.

So based on your current tastes, I think the Schecter will do everything you want and can cover your future tastes too, especially with a CC/'59 combo already in it. What sort of amp/rig are you playing through?

Gibson/Epiphone are brands that are more commonly seen in every style of music, and I believe Schecter tends to cater more to the metal/heavier music players. They're great guitars, even if they aren't as well-known or celebrated as Epiphone.

I'm simply running through a line 6 spider 4 and just a mkII shortboard. Would it be a better investment to get a different amp setup over a guitar? This thing plays perfectly fine and I love the sound i get out of it, I just dont know if the amp is my problem.
